The “MIP Awards”, considered to be the “Oscars of Technology, will take place before a live audience of more than 700 of the area’s innovators and technology companies from the Southern California region at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines.
The awards will consist of eight categories, along with a surprise presentation of the Distinguished Contribution Awards in Technology and Life Science. Also, the coveted William W. Otterson Award will be presented to a San Diego technology that has changed the world. This year’s Otterson Award recipient will be General Atomics for the unmanned air vehicle Predator.
This type of live awards presentation offered in 3D is a first for San Diego County, which Passage Productions is proud to spearhead.
