San Diego’ s Passage Productions continued their strong relationship with CONNECT.org by producing a live presentation for CONNECT.org’s 25th Anniversary Gala. This production, presented at the Torrey Pines Marriott, featured an exclusive performance by Grammy Award winning composer Marvin Hamlisch. Hamlisch played a live piano rendition of Scott Joplin’s “The Entertainer” in sync with a slideshow retrospective developed by Passage Productions. The mix of live performance, photos and support graphics presented a memorable walk through 25 years of San Diego innovation. In attendance of the celebration were members, honored guests and past directors of CONNECT.
About Marvin Hamlisch
Marvin Hamlisch is an American composer. He is one of only ten people to have been awarded Emmys, Grammys, Oscars, and a Tony, plus a Pulitzer Prize. He has also won two Golden Globes and currently holds the position of Principal Pops Conductor for the San Diego Symphony.
